The Secret Garden at The Ritz London opens
Jun 03, 2026 – London
London, June 2026: A botanical escape like no other: The Secret Garden at The Ritz London opens.
The Secret Garden at The Ritz London will open to guests from 8th June 2026. Designed by Marcus Barnett Studio and David Collins Studio as a quintessential English garden, The Secret Garden is a secluded oasis accessible through the hotel’s Arlington Street entrance, for guests to drink and dine al fresco and enjoy the English Summer Season in the centre of the city.
Open daily throughout the summer months (weather permitting), a menu of exquisite cocktails, Champagnes and wines will be available, as well as live entertainment and elevated fare from The Ritz London’s culinary brigade.
The garden has been designed as an ethereal tapestry of grasses and perennials, from irises and hellebores, to hydrangeas, crab-apple trees and white wisteria. Designed around the natural architecture and movement of sunlight across the garden, Marcus Barnett Studios have planted an array of sumptuous greenery with pastel, cream and vibrant florals that will shift in colour and texture throughout the season. A water feature stands as the centrepiece, adding a gentle trickling acoustic, to the stylish seating sheltered by vast parasols and canopies. Bespoke soft cashmere throws by Johnston’s of Elgin will invite twilight conversations and warmth on late summer nights.
A collection of botanical cocktails, from the Garden of Eden, made with Boatyard Vodka, Nasturtium Distillate, Melon Cordial Ramos Pinto Port and Meloncello Liquor topped with soda water, to the Mango Highball of Hibiki Harmony, Mango Water, Eucalyptus Distillate, Lemon Verbena and Black Tea. Classic cocktails will feature and include the newly launched Ritz 120 in celebration of the hotel’s 120th anniversary, created with Gold-Infused Belvedere Organic Vodka, Grand Marnier, The Newt English Ice Cyder, Manzana Verde and Champagne Barons de Rothschild ‘Réserve Ritz’ Brut. An impressive list of Champagnes and wines, available by the glass or bottle, has also been curated.
The Secret Garden will offer the world-famous service and culinary mastery of The Ritz London in softened, sunlit splendour. From small plates to sandwiches and salads, seafood and meat dishes, the menu is contemporary yet refined. Highlight dishes include the Dorset Crab Brioche Roll, the Harissa Charred Poussin with Pumpkin Seed and Smoked Almond or the Red Mullet with Ratatouille and Bouillabaisse, whilst desserts range from The Ritz Vanilla Trifle to a Vanilla and Chocolate Ice Cream Mille Feuille or a Caramelised Banana and Chocolate Flan.
A programme of live entertainment will further enhance the romantic atmosphere of the garden on Thursdays and Friday evenings, Saturday all day and Sunday lunch.
