Welcome to the October issue of The Ritz enewsletter! Summer may be over, but the new season brings a host of delights for you. In The Restaurant, sample our Chef's delights with a selection of dishes made from White truffles and a week sampling an exceptional selection of wines from Bordeaux. To complement the introduction of the Autumn a la Carte menu, The Ritz Restaurant is presenting a selection of extraordinary fine wines from Bordeaux. Sommelier Bruno Murciano has chosen six superb wines from The Ritz Wine List, which will be offered by the glass during the week of October 8th to accompany any of the dishes on the du Jour and a la Carte menus. A beautiful new mahogany Bluthner Model II Grand Piano was delivered to The Palm Court this summer, taking pride of place in the Long Gallery. Resident pianist Ian Gomes, who has been entertaining the Afternoon Tea guests for twelve years, is delighted to welcome the new piano. The 'old' one which has been in service at The Ritz since the 1920's, is now residing in William Kent House. From October, our Pianist will also be delighted to take any requests that you might have. Simply complete one of our new song request cards and sit back and enjoy the show!
