As a key moment in The Ritz London’s annual calendar, Christmas decorations are traditionally put up during the second week of November, setting the scene for London’s most famous and indulgent Christmas celebrations.
When are The Ritz’s Christmas celebrations?
Christmas celebrations at The Ritz London begin on Saturday 14th November 2026 and run until Wednesday 6th January 2027.
What to wear for Christmas at The Ritz?
Gentlemen are required to wear a jacket and tie (jeans and sportswear are not permitted for either ladies or gentlemen) for Afternoon Tea and for lunch and dinner in The Ritz Restaurant.
In all other areas of the hotel (The Ritz breakfast service, The Rivoli Bar, The Secret Garden, and The Cigar Shop), smart casual attire is acceptable.
Some Christmas events, such as the Christmas Eve Gala Dinner, Christmas Day Dinner and the New Year’s Eve Gala Dinner, are black-tie events.
