Afternoon tea in London at The Ritz is an institution in itself, a rare and wonderful tradition that has stood the test of time. Served in the spectacular Palm Court, flanked by high walls of gleaming mirrors and intricate gilded trellis, romantic birdcage chandeliers, a striking stone fountain inhabited by large gilded statues and at the centre of the room a soaring, vibrant floral display.

Guests can choose from an extensive selection of 18 different types of loose leaf tea. Enjoy finely cut sandwiches together with freshly baked scones with strawberry preserve and clotted Devonshire cream, followed by a delectable selection of afternoon teacakes and pastries.

Afternoon Tea prices start from £52 per person (from the 1st January 2017 it will be £53 per person) and from £30 for children.

Sittings for Afternoon Tea take place at 11:30, 13:30, 15:30, 17:30, 19:30

Dress Code:

Reflecting the elegant nature of the hotel’s architecture The Ritz London has a dress code in different areas of the hotel as follows: Gentlemen are required to wear a jacket and tie for afternoon tea in The Palm Court and for lunch and dinner in The Ritz Restaurant. In all other areas of the hotel (The Ritz Restaurant breakfast service, The Rivoli Bar, The Long Gallery) and The Ritz Club, smart casual attire is suitable. Please note that trainers or sportswear are not permitted in any of the hotel or Club’s restaurants or bars.
