The Ritz London is delighted to be a part of this year’s Mayfair Art Weekend and on Sunday 1st July 2018 is offering you the opportunity to join a special art tour entitled: ‘The Art of Piccadilly’.
The tour will begin at 150 Piccadilly, the iconic Ritz hotel, at 10am, for a refreshment and to meet the host of the day, Anna Brady, local expert and Deputy Art Market Editor of The Art Newspaper. Anna will lead the tour to Stern Pissarro Gallery, located a five-minute walk from the hotel on St. James’s Street, where they will be given a tour of the exhibition on Christo & Jeanne-Claude and will have the chance to meet Lélia Pissarro and her daughter, Lyora Pissarro at their pop-up artist studio.
Guests will then be given a curated tour of the highlights of the famous Summer Exhibition at iconic The Royal Academy of Arts, which this year is celebrating its landmark 250th anniversary, before heading to the historic Fortnum & Mason department store, for a unique look behind the scenes of their impressive art collection with the in-house archivist.
At 1pm, a sumptuous Champagne Afternoon Tea at The Ritz will be served in the private Wimborne Room, located in the adjoining Grade II listed townhouse dating back to the 1740s, to finish the spectacular day exploring the art of the Piccadilly and St James areas.
